A very short biography of Marguerite Helen Brown

Marguerite Helen (nee Nentwig) Brown was born to Amandus and Louise (nee Brush) Nentwig on December 22, 1905. She grew up on a farm in Starbuck, Manitoba, along with four sisters (Blanche, Louella, Florence, and Ethel) and two brothers (Orville and Herbert).

Marguerite moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in her early 20's where she began work as a stenographer for "His Masters Voice", which later became RCA Victor. It was in Winnipeg that she met her husband to be, William Paul Brown, who worked for the Bank of Montreal. The two married on June 8, 1935 at Chalmers United Church in Winnipeg and soon moved to Belmont, Manitoba.

Paul and Marguerite gave birth to their eldest son Robert Paul Brown on March 16, 1938. Some 2 years later Paul was transferred to the Bank of Montreal head office and the family relocated back to Winnipeg. In 1947 Paul and Marguerite's family grew again with the adoption of William James (Mick) Brown, born February 24, 1942. The family continued to reside in Winnipeg for another 28 years until Paul's retirement in 1970.

In 1970 Paul and Marguerite moved to Clearwater, Florida. They lived happily together until Paul passed away in October 1986. Soon afterwards Marguerite moved to Abbotsford, British Columbia where she resides today with Mick. Robert currently resides with his wife Jane in Head of Jeddore, Nova Scotia.

Marguerite has two grandchildren, Jason Ramsay-Brown and Jelisse Brown.
